‘The Goat or Who is Sylvia’ by Edward Albee is an exploration of taboos in modern life. It is set around a wealthy successful family, where one member has a big secret. When it comes out we watch as this once happy family devolves into chaos. Through the set and costume we can see the families comfortable wealth. We can also see them descend into madness, inspired by the Ancient Greek principles of Apollonian and Dionysian art forms.
